Connect your Nikon digital camera to your computer via a wired or wireless connection and transfer raw photos and videos with ease
What's new in Wireless Transmitter Utility 1.7.0:
- Added support for the D850.
- The current page number/total number of pages are now displayed at the top right corner of the Setup Utility.
- Fixed an issue that caused only one type of profile (wireless LAN or Ethernet but not both) being imported from D750, D810, D810A, or D7200 cameras after their firmware was updated for compatibility with the WT-7.
Wireless Transmitter Utility is a handy application that will enable you to establish a wireless or wired connection to your PC and transfer videos and pictures on the fly.
With the Wireless Transmitter Utility you can set up a wired or wireless LAN connection and adjust settings for the UT-1 communication unit or the WT-5 and WT-4 wireless transmitters. Alternatively, it enables you to load a previously saved configuration file.
The program has an intuitive wizard that will guide you throughout the whole process so you can add and edit profiles, setup the picture folder or change the camera password. For some of these tasks to be performed, the camera must be connected to the PC.
Please note that Wireless Transmitter Utility is only compatible with certain camera models, supported by UT-1 communication units or WT-4 and WT-5 transmitters. Among these you can find D4S, D4, D810, D810A, D800, D800E, D750, D7200, D7100, and D7000, D4S and D4 cameras.
Also, note that you must choose the correct hardware in the camera's setup menu in order for the application to work properly. You can also transfer movies in 'image transfer mode'.

HI there lsumba99,
It sounds like the software app to connect your iPad and Nikon camera via Wi-Fi isn't working correctly but it does on your phone. I would start by quitting that app as well as your Settings app:
Force an app to close in iOS
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201330
1. Press the Home button two times quickly. You'll see small previews of your recently used apps.
2. Swipe left to find the app you want to close.
3. Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201559
If that doesn't work then I would use these steps specifically from the following article:
/ableton-authorizeauz-download.html.
If an app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open
Check for iOS and app updates
